Do some photographs show up better than
others? |
|
Absolutely. The clearer the photo, the clearer the image on
the pendant. In addition, high contrast between the subject
of the photograph and the background yields a better reproduction.
|
|
|
| Does
the type of photograph matter? |
| No.
Photographs can me 35mm, 110, studio shots, even slides or Polariods,
in color or black and white. We cannot, however, create a color
image from black and white photograph. |
|
|
| Can
I send a slide or a negative? |
| No. |
|
|
| What
is the difference between laser engraving and mechanical engraving? |
This
question can be answered with one simple word: QUALITY. Mechanical
engraving is to laser engraving what an image produced by a
dot matrix printer is to one produced by a high quality, high
resolution laser printer.
|
|
|
| What
if the customer is not completely satisfied of the pendants? |
We
offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the day of the receipt.
With laser engraving we extend a lifetime warranty on the image.
We cannot make the same statement regarding the color enamel,
because as with any color item, i.e. cloths, cars, etc., the
suns rays can effect it. We do guarantee against manufacturing
defects on both laser engraved and color enamel.

|
| Are
the photographs returned? Will they be harmed in the process? |
| All
photographs are returned with the pendant. At no time during
the PhotoScribe process are the photographs harmed. |
|
|
| Can
the image wear off? |
No,
the PhotoScribeTM Laser Engraved portrait is permanently engraved
into 14k gold. A watch crystal is optically bonded over the
portrait to make it water and scratch resistant. No inks or
dyes are used. PhotoScribeTM has developed a special alloy to
mix with the gold that reacts to the laser creating a crisp,
clear, permanent image.

|
|
| Do
I have to send special photographs? |
| Any
photograph, color or black and white, can be used. However,
photographs with good contrast and simple, uncluttered, light
backgrounds generally look better. We can digitally repair damaged
photographs |
|
|
| How
do I clean my PhotoScribeTM Jewelry? |
Treat
your PhotoScribeTM jewelry as you would any fine gold jewelry.
Since it is made of solid 14k gold, it will not tarnish. To
remove fingerprints, gently rub with a clean, soft cloth.
|
|
|
| Is
a PhotoScribeTM portrait expensive? |
|
No, it's not expensive. In fact, the cost of a PhotoScribeTM
portrait is less than some gold jewelry and it represents outstanding
value, considering that it is made of solid 14kt gold and is
custom laser engraved just for you.
